DCTC Students pass MNLA Certified Professional Examination

Seven students in the landscape program at DCTC recently took the examination for Certified Professional status, a certification program offered by the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association. Six passed with flying colors; one unfortunate soul was just a couple points short of the 800 points needed to pass. Two alumni also took the test; they passed as well. Congratulations to Zach Carlton, David Dombrowski, John Fahey, Sarah Hartung, Anne Marie Moseman, Ross Pirlet, Will Richartz, and Eric Robb. The test was held March 23, 2007, at the Midland Hills Country Club in Roseville.

The program certifies Minnesota professionals in landscaping, garden centers, and nursery or greenhouse production. The thousand point test requires a passing grade of 800 points. The Landscape Horticulture program at DCTC is a major participant in the program.
